Kanni Kallastu elected as new leader of the South-Estonian Tourism Cluster
The South-Estonian Tourism Cluster welcomes a new leader – Kanni Kallastu, whose versatile education and extensive experience in the tourism sector make her an excellent leader for the entire South-Estonian tourism sector. Kanni, who until now has been the green economy director of the Põlvamaa Development Centre, will now continue in his new position, bringing with him fresh ideas for promoting tourism in South Estonia.
New ideas and ambitions
Kanni describes himself as a quick idea generator, determined and a bold thinker out of the box. These characteristics promise exciting innovations and positive changes in the activities of the South-Estonian tourism cluster.
The aim is to increase the attractiveness of South Estonia as a tourist destination.
According to Mr Kann, the main challenge is to get to know the tourism sector in the counties, to discover their joys, development opportunities and bottlenecks. He believes that through joint action and efforts, it is possible to make South Estonia an even more attractive tourist destination.
Favourite place in South Estonia: Mehikoorma in Põlva County.
Kanni Kallastu names his favourite place in southern Estonia as Mehikoormat in Põlva County. Mehikoorma, as Käsmu in Põlvamaa, offers special experiences and the chance to see something truly extraordinary. He says it’s a place where everything is simple and real, and even the waves of the lake seem to flow differently.
We hope that under Kann’s leadership, the South-Estonia Tourism Cluster will gain new momentum and exciting developments will take place to make the region an even more attractive tourist destination.
