The aim of the project is to raise the profile of South-Estonia as a tourist destination among both domestic and foreign tourists through the development of regionally specific products. The cooperation project will focus on the development of food tourism and active leisure tourism products. The project involves tourism organisations and tourism networks from Võru County, Valga County, Põlva County, Jõgeva County and Tartu County, and the direct beneficiaries of the project are tourism businesses and service providers in the region.
In order to reach new customers, it is important for businesses in the region to develop their own service design skills through a dedicated online training programme and environment, which they can complete at their own time and pace. The training series consists of up to 15 lectures, each 10-20 minutes long. Specially designed tests and independent work will help to consolidate the topics covered during the training.
Hospitality and service design development activities
Expected result: e-training environment and training programme in place. An entrepreneur who has completed a development programme for customer journey design is able to assess his existing resources, customer expectations and needs, and to bring new services to the market that fit the needs and expectations of the new segment. Thanks to the digital training, the entrepreneur will be able to create products that are suitable for a solvent customer and that they can quickly and conveniently purchase through service brokerage platforms such as KYLAS, TripAdvisor, etc.
