The fairytale Sangaste Castle surrounded by pristine nature!
Great halls, unique architecture, mystical nature and, of course, fascinating history combine to offer a variety of reasons to visit!
Come and walk around 13 000 a. to the top of the ancient Otepää hill, where you can see the ruins of the old stone castle and take a look at the town of Otepää and the surrounding nature.
One of the strongest fortresses of Ancient Estonia was located on the Otepää hill and the oldest firearm in the world has been found here!
Kaagjärve Manor and Manor Park, with its interesting history and beautiful architecture, offers visitors plenty to discover. The manor house houses a collection of photographs of the Luckin brothers, who lived in Kaagärve at the beginning of the last century. Alongside the photographs, the history of the manor is also unraveled, describing the life and times of von Grote. Stories and legends about Lake Kaagjärv will accompany the exhibition.
A Rose Festival is held in the manor’s Rose Garden in summer.
It is one of the most unique museums in the Baltics. In the museum you can see exciting exhibits and displays that have been created in cooperation with all the Estonian law enforcement structures. In addition, you can try out different military-style leisure activities with the whole family (ride in military machines, laser battles, shooting simulator, experience over Valga, etc.).
